Atlanta, Georgia – A brawl broke out Sunday morning at a AAU basketball tournament in Atlanta between the R.A.W. Athletics from Chicago and the Houston Raptors.

In videos posted online by Doug Jones, players can be seen beating a game official while he’s lying on the ground.

The fight, which started in the fourth quarter with R.A.W Athletics trailing, escalated as more officials and parents ran onto the court to try to break up the fight. Before tempers could cool down, an all-out brawl started.

R.A.W. Athletics head coach Howard Martin took to Twitter to tell his team’s side of the story.

“A ref actually walked up on one of our players and attacked him,” Martin tweeted. “Everyone tried to break it all up, then the ref’s father (who was working a game on a different court) ran over to our court and rushed our guys. Everyone in the gym, the other team and the directors saw everything.”

Martin’s account of what happen can not be verified as video footage of the brawl does not show what happened before cameras started rolling.
