GearBrain has reported that Liga MX and the Mexican Soccer Federation have reached an important deal with Pixellot, an Israeli-based tech company, to bring the company’s revolutionary automation technology to the league after the conclusion of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The purpose of bringing Pixellot’s technology to all 18 clubs in the Liga MX is to boost performance using the latest video coaching methods.
Pixellot’s Mexican partner, seeUplay®, will be overseeing the tech’s installation into the Liga MX stadiums, the league’s training facilities, and the training complex for Mexico’s national team. The system is designed to streamline the production workflow through a multi-camera system. The tech provides a feed of the entire game, and features panoramic footage of the whole pitch, which means it sees all angles on the field. All this allows coaches, players and analysts to see frame-by-frame reviews and individual player tracking.
Specifically made for coaches, this technology gives them an overwhelming amount of information in real time to guide their decisions throughout the game. In training, players and coaches will have the chance to analyze performance on a much deeper level to fix form and improve play on the field.
Pixellot’s technology already has been making waves throughout Europe and Asia. Now it’s moving into Mexico, which could be a path into several new market,s including sports such as baseball and football in the United States.
